Commsworld, in partnership with the charity SmartSTEMs and North Lanarkshire Council, is hosting the online poll of entries from Kier Hardie Primary, Holy Family Primary, St Mary’s Primary and Thornlie Primary.
This is the result of its latest workshops organised by Commsworld and SmartSTEMs across a host of primaries in the region. The workshops are aimed at encouraging youngsters to consider careers in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM).
Workshop co-ordinators, in order to introduce the pupils to the imaginative side of design and tech, asked them to dream up their very own Commsworld mascot. The result was an explosion of creativity, with each school coming up with their own winners.
The designs were all so fantastic that Commsworld and SmartSTEMs decided to put up a £500 prize for the best one overall. They also put each entry through AI to transform them from, drawings into life-like digital characters.
However, they just couldn’t agree on which one was the overall champion – so they want you the public to vote in the poll below!
The finalists are -
Cammie – Katieann (Kier Hardie Primary School)
Comunibot – Rachel (St Mary’s Primary)
Jimmy Bob Junior – Eve (Holy Family Primary)
Techy – Annabelle (Thornlie Primary)
