Q&A with our Employee of the Quarter - Abbie Robertson

1. Can you tell us about your role at Commsworld and what your day-to-day responsibilities look like?

I’m a Marketing Assistant, and no two days are ever quite the same. My role involves supporting a range of activities, including events, campaigns, content creation, and social media.

2 .How long have you been with the company, and what inspired you to join?

I’ve been with Commsworld for almost four years. I joined straight from university, having not previously worked in the telecoms industry. I’ve always been interested in technology, and I was excited by the opportunity to learn and grow in the sector.

3. What’s your favourite part of your job?

My favourite part of my job is how different each day can be, along with the opportunity to work with such a great team.

4. Are there any big projects or achievements you’re particularly proud of?

I’m proud of being involved in a range of successful campaigns and events, particularly those where I’ve been able to see an idea develop from planning through to execution.

5. How do you collaborate with other teams or departments?

I work with almost every department across Commsworld. Whether it’s gathering insights, supporting internal communications, or coordinating events. Collaboration is a big part of my role.

6. How does it feel to be recognised as Employee of the Quarter?

It feels really rewarding, and I appreciate the recognition. It means a lot to know my work has been noticed my colleagues.

7. What do you think contributed to this achievement?

I believe a willingness to get involved across different areas of the business has been key. I always aim to support wherever I can.

8. What’s one skill or lesson you’ve learned in your time here?

I’ve learned a huge amount about telecoms since joining, which was completely new to me when I started.

9. If you had to describe your job in three words, what would they be?

Fast-paced, exciting, and varied.

10. What’s something your colleagues/people might not know about you?

Before joining Commsworld, I spent time in South Africa volunteering with an animal conservation project, which is something I’ve always been passionate about.
