It’s A Knockout in aid of St Andrew's Hospice
Commsworld are proud that for the second year running we have entered a team into the It's A Knockout event to fundraise for St Andrew's Hospice.
The event which will run from the 5th - 7th May will see teams from all over Scotland compete in a variety of weird and wonderful tasks all in aid of charity. This is a great day out for famailies and friends.
If you would like to donate to this great cause you can find Commsworld's Just Giving page here and for more information on the event please click here.
Blackburn United Ladies U15s Sponsorship
Here come the girls - Commsworld are delighted to be continuing our youth funding in the local community with Blackburn United ladies receiving funding for their new shirts. Good luck for the season ahead!
Boroughmuir RFC Youth Funding
Continuing on with our sponsorship of the first team Commsworld are also now providing funding to the minis.
This contribution from Commsworld will help to fund coaching and refereeing for all the junior sides as providing kit from P1-P7 and S1-S4; and help to set-up their acadamy which aims to focus on developing a club culture from the way they play their social acitivities to providing a strong focus on social responsibility through access to quality rugby coaching for all children across their community and schools.
Living Wage
Commsworld recognises the contribution our staff plays in our success and as such we fully endorse the Scottish Governments Living Wage Campaign to deliver a living wage as a minimum commitment for our employees. We are firmly of the view that employers should reward their staff fairly and would encourage businesses throughout the country to support the living wage campaign.
The Real Living Wage is now £8.45 and Commsworld will continue to support the programme. The number of living wage employers has grown substantially in Scotland over the last few years; when Commsworld was first accredited there was only 60 employers that number has now reached 800 which is absolutely fantastic.
Denis Law Soccer Tournament
Sport plays a big part in people’s lives in Scotland and Commsworld has a long tradition of delivering support in this area. In particular a lot of us are football daft so we thought it natural to help out a fantastic cause in Aberdeen which helps bring on the football skills and confidence of talented young footballers in the area. The Denis Law Soccer Tournament has been running since 2011 and gives kids an experience that will stay with them forever.
Denis Law says: “The support of companies like Commsworld for our football tournament is very welcome. It is helping to make a big difference in assisting the development of talented local children in the Aberdeen area and providing them with an excellent opportunity to test their skills against visiting teams.
“Sport - and in this case football - forms an important part of a child’s upbringing and I firmly believe the experience and enjoyment that kids get from this tournament in my home town will stay with them forever.”
In the past we’ve also been proud shirt sponsors for Motherwell FC and Hibernian’s under 19s.
