Supply Chain Manager

Salary: £45,000- 50,000

Location: Newbridge Edinburgh

Reporting to the CFO, this is a broad based role in a growing business which means all round capabilities are essential to succeed in the role. Whilst the role requires core supply management and contract review skills it also requires someone with broad based business savvy and excellent analytical and communication skills.

• Ownership of commercial relationship with key suppliers
  • Identify cost saving opportunities with our large suppliers in the following key categories :
    • Connectivity providers – Main purchase is Circuits
    • Data centre providers
    • IT/Systems Equipment suppliers
  • Negotiate with suppliers to optimise supplier costs and maximise savings.
  • Measurement and reporting of supplier performance

• Timely escalation of issues and where necessary develop improvement plans

• Ability to analyse margin on Commsworld business
• Work closely with operations departments to ensure co-ordination between operational requirements and commercial discussions/negotiations
  • Review of mthly spend by supplier in conjunction with finance for accuracy and completeness
• Review of both Customer and Supplier contracts terms and conditions with a view to ensuring critical items are consistent/appropriate.
• Adhoc analysis and financial modelling as required to support the business growth trajectory
  • Initial focus on cost reduction

• CIPS qualified or equivalent level of experience
• Sharp, Inquisitive, analytical, someone who will provide insightful analysis
  • Strong excel and numerical skills

• Process oriented
  • Contract review process
  • Ability to embrace change and improve processes

Preferable

• Previous industry experience
• Previous experience in PE ownership environment
• Based at Newbridge head office (as majority of operations are here) with ability to visit Glasgow office or some of these activities as required
