They add value by providing companies, public sector bodies and individuals with legal advice that is commercial and practical, enabling them to make well informed decisions.
The Challenge
HBJ Gateley Wareing is the result of two large law firms merging with totally contrasting IT systems. Commsworld already worked with the Scottish offices – Edinburgh and Glasgow, and had already implemented a next generation communications solution that would easily scale and meet the business growth needs.
Gateley Wareing consisted of three major sites across England – its Head Office based in Birmingham and two further sites situated in Leicester and Nottingham. The current system consisted of a TDM communications platform and DPNSS circuits linking the sites which had over 300 users. An MPLS Wide Area Network was also in place, but this catered for data only.
Gateley Wareing recognised that the existing telephone system could no longer cope with the demand and set about an exercise to establish what else was on the market. As Commsworld already had a relationship with Henderson Boyd Jackson, Gateley Wareing called upon us to advise them on a new telephone system. After a thorough analysis of their requirements, over a period of month's of presenting information, visiting their sites and a process of gathering data and cost analysis, Gateley Wareing decided on the Mitel 3300 ICP in every office, complimenting their Scottish counterparts.
Whilst this was going on HBJ Gateley Wareing also expanded by opening up offices in London and Dubai.
Commsworld scoped the overall design of the infrastructure for the three offices whilst having to simultaneously support the London opening with new circuits, a Mitel 3300, in addition to the office opening in Dubai where Commsworld advised on connectivity – being able to link back to the UK.
This was a huge project that required Commsworld to deliver a smooth migration from a traditional PBX to IP Telephony. This involved a parallel roll-out of the solution to each office, with careful consideration throughout the project, and planning and testing at every stage. This ensured the geographically-dispersed solution was delivered without causing any disruption to the business.
